On A Cruise Without The Crew

Cody and I hit the open seas last week... alone! It was the first time in 6 years to go on vacation alone, without any kids or friends. We had a great time. We ate our way through the Gulf of Mexico. We did get re-routed to Progresso, instead of Cozumel... but a vacation is a vacation and it didn't rock our boat!

We will set sail again... soon!!!

Big Daddy gets in on the fun!

Boating is hard work... but someone has to do it!

Another great weekend with family and friends on Lake Conroe

We spent the weekend on Lake Conroe for my grandmother's 83rd birthday. Our friends from Clear Lake met us with their boat.... it was SO much fun! The kids are such lake rats... we love it! I'm so impressed with Cody's moves!

Jill Howell turns 35

It's crazy how many Jills I have met in my old age. I didn't know that many growing up but now there are everywhere.... My best friend is Jill and we have so much in common... she also has 4 kids, (4 girls), lives in our neighborhood, drives a black suburban and is married to a great guy! We are both very blessed.. not sure what that has to do with our name, I was just babbling! Anyway, she turned 35 last month and we had a blast going out. Her husband Brad surprised her with a limo and a night at Mark's... Cody and I were lucky enough to be asked to join the fun and to have the gay pride parade outside our balcony room to entertain us... the wine helped too :-) Thanks for the great night Jill, and for being the best friend ever! Not sure how I would survive this crazy life without you!

Happy 4th of July

We had an awesome 4th of July! We went to our family ranch in Stephenville... my brother and his girlfriend, my parents and grandmother met us there. We decorated the float, road through town and threw TONS of candy to the crowd! The boys LOVED it!

Our friends The Lanhams came down from Graham and we spent Saturday playing outside with them.... We miss them so much! All our kids had a blast!

We had a wonderful weekend of fun, family, food and great friends!

More birthday pictures

The party was fun!

It's official... she is a princess... she has been crowned

We celebrated Reese-Kathryn's birthday with a party. Does is seem like the partying never ends around here or what?!?!?!? Reese-Kathryn rose to the occasion! I told my mom I couldn't have asked for more from her! She cracked us up when we put the tiara on her and gave her the wand... she looked at us like "I have been waiting for this moment for a year!" She then decided to DIVE into her cake. She tore into it and tore it apart WAY worse than any of her brothers ever did. Proof, she will be the toughest princess on the block! She loves all her new toys and does not like her brothers to mess with any of them... especially the pink ones..... Like I said, I couldn't ask for more!!!

Surf's up and Anderson is always ready to hit the beach!!

The boy LOVES the water... especially the beach. We spent a week in Galveston with the Hayslips and the day we got home... he woke up saying "I want beach!!!"---- Just like his mama!

The princess is 1!

What a year! We have been blessed with the sweetest baby girl ever! She is truly a gift from God! We can't imagine our lives without her. Her brothers think she is the cutest thing they have ever seen.... her daddy and I agree!!

Dreaded food allergies

Sunday Reese-Kathryn had a reaction to peanut butter. It was just a bad rash and went away with Benadryl. However, I took her to the doctor today and he suspects she might be allergic to milk, peanuts and soy!!!! I'm not really sure what she isn't allergic to!!! We are going to have her blood tested in a few weeks and she will be off all of the above until further notice. If anyone has any ideas on what to feed her, please let me know!!!

Carter's baseball team headed to 1st place

Carter has had a great experience with his first machine pitch baseball team. They have only lost one game and if they win on Monday, they will finish the season in 1st place.... We are all very excited and a little more emotionally involved than we would like to admit!!! Say a prayer for the A's.... we'll let ya know how it goes!

Walker is having surgery

Walker is headed to Texas Children's tomorrow for surgery. He is having a rod removed from his arm. It was put there last August when he broke his arm. They say it should be a quick routine surgery and he should be able to go back to school on Wednesday..... we shall see! Say a prayer for him and us!

Big Daddy rides at the Rodeo

The kids are so into my dad riding his horses. It's ALL Anderson talks about. We had a great time watching him "cut cows." That's all Anderson wants to do all day long. We are in so much trouble! Good thing he'll be able to ride his bike to the stables when he's older!
